"I Want To FLY!"-(Youth) My store to raise funds for flying lessons
http://www.cafeshops.com/IWantToFly
Hi!
My name is Trace. I am 13 years old and LOVE to fly planes and gliders.
I have a deal with my parents to split the cost of my flying lessons. My dad
helped me start my "I want To FLY!" store to earn money selling products with
my aviation pics on them. (I also love taking pics of airplanes!) I make
about $2 for each item sold.
Please have a look. I hope you find something you like.
Thanks!
Trace

Seems legit. I've just checked out the site and, for a kid trying to earn a
few bucks to fun a flying jones, it's a pretty good idea. Not much info on
the site, but it comes across as being real.

I dunno crap about flying, but I speak photography... These are
professional photos for a 13 year old... However, I can believe he did the
logo...

Well, I dunno. My son started a "clean the bottom of your plane" business
that netted him some pretty decent money for a while. This just seems like
a more modern idea?

They did seem good, but I have a FABULOUS shot of the Liberty Science Museum
that my son (about 14 at the time) took through the window of a moving car.
Some kids are really good. Of course as a teacher I also know there are
some "daddy helped me" ones and I'm sure some out and out frauds. Thinking
about "what are you waiting for:.

Dennis,
Thanks for your comments. I passed this on to my son. You could say he has
been "semi-pro" since he was 11. He works long days at national soaring
competitions (10 days long) taking photos for overnight processing and selling
them to the 50-70 pilots who greatly appreciate his efforts.
I do help with the text and caption ideas on the store site. For the record
.... I did the logo :)

ps- If you are interested... I used some of Trace's pics on a brochure I
designed for my glider flying club Windy City Soaring
