In focusing on airplanes as machines we often
overlook the men who build and fly and maintain
them. I like the human element in this series.

most welcome...
I,ve found many images of girls working in the aircraft factories
in the LIFE archives. those were just a few.
My aunt worked in the Grumman plant sewing fabric for the
control surfaces on the planes..
Not Grumman shop, but the same type of work in the Curtiss_Wright P-40
factory.
