Obviously, at 29 Palms, CA by USMC. Nice little rocket, guidance package of
vacume tubes, resistors and capacators - pre transistor tech, at least when
I was involved. Designed to be blown up, at low bid. Rayethon was prime
contractor.
Every time we went on a shoot (like thise one), the CO would tell me (the
Missle Tech Chief), "Put the best birds on the launcher". What a joke, we
always blew up the best stuff, and saved the junk for the bad guys.

Yeah, but you only blew up a couple of them every year; the military had
hundreds of them.

You could be right about this one, it might be US Army at Ft Bliss; but the
other one is 29 Palms - for sure.
