I don't think I could last in there for more than an hour - without cracking
the window - just a little....

All of the Original Seven are heroes to me (even Deke). With Alan
Shepard being at the top of my list. While watching the conclusion of
"The Right Stuff" the narrator talks about Gordo's flight being the "last
American to fly in space solo, and flew higher, faster and longer."

I guess they writers and producers forgot about the Apollo flights and
the lunar orbits... while two were on the surface Luna.

Well, maybe not as cramped as Mercury!
