Two men died this morning when the experimental plane they were in crashed
onto a Mesa golf course.

The plane experienced engine trouble about 7 a.m. during takeoff from Falcon
Field Municipal Airport (FFZ), a Mesa Fire spokesman said. It crashed less
than a mile away from the airport on the 15th hole at Long Bow Golf Club
moments before the start of a tournament.

The craft ignited on impact and was fully engulfed in flames by the time
firefighters reached the scene.

The victims' names have not been released. The Federal Aviation
Administration is investigating.

Dang. Search of the paper doesn't turn anything up, but NTSB record shows...
