Having taken a look at John Gilban's website, I was reminded about what
a neat airport Chandler is to see quite a few "interesting" aircraft
that reside in the hangars there.

A couple others...

One of the best, surely, is Brodhead, Wisconsin. Dozens and dozens of
restored old airplanes, and homebuilts. The field, as I understand
it, is owned and operated by the local chapter of the EAA.

I'd recommend visiting on a summer weekend, when people will be there
to show you around.

Nice work, very useful for planing.

I like this "formation takeoff exercise." Having never
have been flying formation, my I ask: is this indeed a
real takeoff training or just a joke?

Actually, some teams rehearse their routines in this manner. they walk
through the plan, with each pilot assuming his position in the formation
and lead calling the shots.

It was just a bunch of plane campers goofing around on the runway.
