My third class medical is coming up soon and I am a little worried.
My doctor put me on Lipitor for elevated cholestrol this past year.

Will this cause any red flags, problems or require further documentation
for my third class medical?

Or will this cause no problems?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

Looks like you are OK....but I'm no AME.

If you're not a member of AOPA (but you are, right?) then
take a look at the url posted.

Otherwise, the FAA Allowal Based On
status report and no adverse side effects

No, you just may need an extra statement from your normal doctor saying
that you have no side effects. I take both a BP med and cholesterol med
(not Lipitor as that caused me muscle pain), and have had no problems
with my medical. I just have to take a letter each time from my normal
doctor to my AME and all is well.
