I am totally amazed at how many aviation related Podcasts are available for
free on the internet.
Not to mention that there are some really great Video Podcasts out there.
Am I the last one to find this out?
Has anyone else in this group ventured into the world of Podcasts?
It is overwhelming, a brief internet search turned up enough IPod videos for
me to
stay busy for the next month. And I'm only talking about the ones that are
free,
there is also videos you can purchase.
For example "Sportys" now has many of their videos online for download to
an IPod for half the price of a DVD.

I'm listening to the Pilotcast and The Finer Points. For the former,
the signal-to-noise ratio makes me wanna give up on them almost every
time I listen to one, but so far I've stayed with them. Barely. That's
my attitude to most Podcasts, FWIW.

For TFP, well, the always-happy attitude of the author grates my nerves
sometime (as does the music), but they're short and the price is right.

What can you recommend?

Sorry you didn't get the memo, David. You are, in fact, the last pilot to
find out about these. :)

Now to add to this, those of you that have a Series 2 or newer TiVo that is
connected to the internet also have the ability to listen to virtually all
free audio podcasts via your TiVo. Much nicer sitting on the couch than at
the computer. The only bad thing is you have to listen to them as they
stream in you can't download it, save it and move forward or reverse. You
can pause though.

Am I the only person who finds it odd to the point of being stupid that
you can't use the very features you bought your TiVo for (pause, fast
forward, rewind) on podcasts on your TiVo?

I have a feeling the auditors haven't looked at crontab yet, but I'm
curious to see if they deem a reference to "yogurt sucking maggots" a
security risk as well. -- Paul Fenwick
