Fully equipped control tower pictured; three paper trays
and a phone:-)

Speaking of flying in the Western Isles, that reminds me -

Somewhat famously Prince Charles over ran an Island runway
(Isle of Islay) flying a BAC 146 many years ago.

It should be mentiond that is was reported that the Prince
"retired" from piloting immediately after this incident
even though this report quite firmly absolves him from
any responsibility. Interesting!

Alphonsinas Mexico is also beach and can get a little busy. I've
landed the Mooney there several times. It does go under water a couple
times per month.

The airline that operated from that airport also operates probably the
shortest duration scheduled service anywhere namely of 2 minutes from
departing to arriving between the islands of Westray and Papa Westray in the
Orkneys.
