This is the article in "Flight" magazine describing the aerodynamic
investigations into the Flying Flea accidents.
the article incorporates the english Farnborough investigations with
the French St. Cyr investigations (I think).

I am amazed at the quality of the reporting in this article.
I wouldnt be surprised if it was written by an aero engineer with an
independent viewpoint.

That really is much worse than the small part thatI first heard, and about
all I can say is Wow!

As I recall, the pop rivet was invented by Goodyear in the thirties as a
means off attaching their de-icing boots to existing airframes.
