Barron Hilton Cup?

I was purusing the SSA website this evening and ran across a link to
the Barron Hilton cup. Is this biennial contest still active? The
last entry for any winners is in 2005. Just curious.

Michael:

Barron Hilton and his staff announced at this year's cup that this
would be the last time he would host the cup. The decision was made
to stop the series on this, the 30th anniversary, because it seemed
like a good time to do so. Several of us tried to encourage him not
to end it, but the decision does not seem to be one he will review.

Shouldn't or couldn't the scoring and the contest continue on even
though the Hilton Corp is not sponsoring it?
