A friend was doing some research regarding the Korean War and came upon
these 27 a/c in North Korea via Google Earth 40.374206, 127.260874 (or 40 22
37.33, 127 15 37.65) and assumed they were Ilyushin 28s.

Is he correct? These are 1950's a/c, could they be still operational?

And the B-52 first flew when? Oh yes, 15 April 1952.
And the C-130 first flew when? Oh yes, 23 August 1954.

So these are both 1950's a/c, could they still be operational?

NKAF has three regiments of Il-28/BEAGLEs,

Both still operational, one still in production.

Thanks for reminding me about those two but I don't think the original
1950's models would be still operational. More like Coke cans now and been
recycled a few hundred times.

That's just as true of the Il-28s produced in the 1950s.

EU has made the C-160 which in some configuration was able to load more
large cargoes than the C-130 ...
That's why EU has decided for the A-400M
