View Full Version : Where Can I Find Good P-Lead Cable

The kind I've been receiving from the suppliers is too light on the
shielding and too heavy on the cable lead. When you wire it up to the
switch you have to make grounded leads out of the shielding. With shield
it needs to be around .130 in diameter and the lead should be only a few
strands, like 10 or so.
Three of us need P-leads for our projects asap.
Thanks.

Any good shielded cable will suffice, as there is very little amperage
that you have to ground. Essentially, P-leads ground the low-voltage
side of the magneto, so there is no current passing through the coil.

I have a bunch of MS 22759/20 20 ga. that sounds about
right--the center cond
uctor has 19 strands , but the outer shield twists into a wire about
the same size...
inner .037, outer .042---I'll send you 50 ft for a $10.00 bill
