While returning to Canada from a winter spent in Florida the route passed through Dayton Ohio. This was an opportunity to visit the Air Force Museum next to the Wright Patterson air base. I have visited the main museum on a couple of occasions before, but missed out on seeing the R and D hangar and the presidential hanger. One has to sign up for this and the spots fill up remarkably quickly.
These hangars are on the air base, so access is somewhat circumscribed. Bus tours from the museum take one to the hangars and the time available at the hangars is only about forty minutes. Consequently I ended up hurrying the shots in an effort to get as many pictures as possible. That's why some of the images are less than inspiring and many could have been framed better. Space in the hangars is at a premium, so the aircraft tend to be parked very close together, which makes it difficult, if not impossible to get a whole aircraft in the frame. Nevertheless it was an interesting experience and I hope you will enjoy the pictures.
Cheers,
