Can you actually touch the XB-70?

I'm gonna go there one day...will travel a long way. If not allowed, I'll do
it at the end of the day as they throw me out...

There was no one close enough to stop one touching the aircraft, but I
refrained. The Valkyrie has a very tall undercarriage, so touching anything
other than the landing gear would be a challenge unless you were a
basketball player. In some of the pictures you can see that the aircraft's
skin is nearly as wrinkled as that on a typical Buff, which belies the
notion that the mach 3 aircraft is super smooth. The X-15 windshield
surround is also very heavy and rough. It reminded me of something you might
see on a diving bell rather than on a high speed aircraft.

Cheers,
