Surprising to see the Dominie in a US museum, although I know the USAAF
did fly some. Is the mixture of two styles of national insignia genuine?
I've never seen that combination before (stars and bars on the fuselage
and star without bars under the wing).

You can book flights in this Dragon Rapide at Duxford:

Good catch on the discrepency in the national insignia. Many heavy bombers
in the ETO flew with obsolete national insignia due to the pressure of
operations. The short-lived insignia with the red surround could be seen
months after it should have been removed. My guess is that this scheme for
this A/C is authentic, even if non-regulation. I suspect the curators have
photographic proof.
