I have a question about hooking up the Oudie to my LX 5000.
When I was using my IPAQ the serial port from my IPAQ is
a female plug. On the Oudie, it is a male serial plug. Is there
another option about hooking this up with a LX 5000?

Is anyone using the Oudie with a LX 5000?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Randy,

The pin connections are not compatible. The Oudie's cable is setup for use
with a Cambridge GPS-NAV or 302 - not an LX product. The Goddard PXF-0.5
cable would be the perfect adapter cable.

A null-modem cable with female/female connectors or the standard
serial cable from LX 5000 with binder connector will also do the
trick.

The pinout on the Oudie connector is exactly the same as the standard
RS-232 pinout with 2=Receive to Oudie, 3=Transmit from Oudie,
5=Ground.
