Could have been an engine problem. The nozzles are at different
positions and there was a long flame from one engine just before the
impact.

Impressive amount of smoke from the crash fire. Probably some nasty
stuff inn there from the plastic bits.

A high alpha pass is by definition stalled. Reports say the right engine popped
and spat out sparks. Compressor stall or more likely engine failure at a time
where the engine is providing most of the lift and can not quit would be my
guess, but that is only guessing from witness's accounts
