Is this the tank of the Russian space shuttle?

What's it's name?

Are they still operational?

Thanks to Obama, the new US space shuttles are "on hold"...

Yep, Buran tank

Just off the top of my pointy head...

Buran never left the ground (excluding piggy-back)
Seems that only one copy was manufactured
Someone here posted a pic of it in some lonely patch of weeds

I 'speck with bammy, a whole lot of stuff will
be "on hold" for a long time...

Common Sense
Economic Recovery
Tax relief
Race baiting
Draining the Potomac "swamp" of corruption/cronyism/thuggery
et al, etc. ad nauseum

No: Buran had no main tank as it was carried to space by an Energija rocket.

There was one unmanned flight of Buran, still lacking life support
systems etc.

Mor information is on Wikipedia or
http://www.astronautix.com/craft/buran.htm
