The information contained in subject e-mail could not possible be correct.

The members of the BCAR Commission have not even been nominated by the
President and will not be nominated until March 15, 2005.

The Secretary of Defense does not make his recommendations for base closure
or realignment to the Commission until May 16, 2005

The Commission is scheduled to make its recommendations to the President on
Sept. 8, 2005.

The Commission continues until April 06.

It will be some time before any decision is made on which bases will close
and/or realign.

Some of the items on this list such as the C-9A retirement have already
happened.

Sorry, you've been had. See http://www.defenselink.mil/brac/ and click
timeline for the entire schedule.

Knew giving up NAS Miramar to the grunts would be a bad move.

Well, I just checked your link and the newest page is dated in October.
It's now December. My wife mentioned to me today that she heard BRAC
stuff on the radio on the way home, so there must be something going on.

Articles on the web:

and then there's this:

Meant to post "A BRAC List, NOT!" as a reply.
