Some of the best support available is through the base located nearest you.

I recommend you contact the "Family Support Center" (or whatever it may be
called for that service) and inquire as to what support services are
available for family members.

When I was a Senior Enlisted Advisor (we called them Command Master Chiefs)
part of the job was assisting spouses with problem solving while the
Military Member was deployed.

Larry has given you some pretty good advice.

My son is deployed with the 278th Regimental Combat Team, part of the
TN National Guard. They have an extensive support system set up. I
have not had to use it, but I know it's there.

What do you define as a public site? To me it must be paid for by the public
like Carlsbad Caverns or White Sands National Monument where anyone can go.
