Not enough power for a towplane.

PA-25-235's have sold for as little as 13k recently

If it is not enough power for a towplane I wonder how it has been
doing such a good job for our club for the past 10 years and at local
competitions?

Please send me any listings of 235s for 13K I would like to buy at
least 3 of them.

The PA25-150 makes a fine towplane with the 180 hp engine. PA25-150
airframes are lighter than the PA25-235 airframes. With a 180 hp engine,
the PA-150 makes a great towplane. Tows very nearly as well as the 235
but more economical. The much-missed Jeff Cloud's Pawnee is a PA-150
with 180hp.

The PA25-180 is a very good towplane, I just bought one that looks like new and it tows just fine. We run off a 3100 foot grass strip here in the coastal Florida area and have found that towplane to be very adequate for our club operation. Considering the cost of a Pawnee 235 and the operating cost of that beast it makes the 180 a welcome addition. The airframe is much lighter and the 180 is much more economical to operate and maintain.

Holy necropsy! That is a response to a seven year old original.
