Does anyone know of any airports reasonably close to hiking trails in
the Northeast? I know of Black Moshannon State park near Mid state
airport in Pennsylvania but was wondering about others. Trying to
combine two of my interests.

Thanks,

Ken

Piseco Airport (K09) in upstate NY, northwest of Albany, NY, is located
literally right next to a trail that takes you into the lower
Adirondack mountains. You can park your aircraft, then walk to the
trailhead about 100 feet from the small airport office.

The only caveat is that I believe they close for the winter.
