New A&P: Typical Starting Salary Range ?

Hello:

Realize there are a zillion variables, but what is a typical starting salary
range for
a newly minted A&P ?

Airlines, in general, hiring gain these days, or are they still laying off
A&P's ?

My experience is that with all the downsizing of the major airlines in
the past couple of years, right now the marketplace is flooded.
That's not to say that there aren't jobs, just don't look for the
majors to be hiring anytime soon. We just took on about 6 new guys
wiht the regional I work for, so the regionals might be your best bet
for now. I'll look at the contract and let you know what our starting
rate is later.
