I'm looking to fly into the Pittsburg area to attend a Pirates game
this summer. Not knowing anything about the area, can anyone
recommend the best GA field to go into for transportation into the
city?
Thanks...

There is no good option using public transportation.
The easiest airport in terms of location and which will have car rentals
almost always available at the FBO with little hassle is Allegheny County
(AGC) although you will pay more for fuel. This is the main full-service GA
airport with lots of corporate jets, a tower, and dual ILS approaches.
If you can arrange for a rental car in advance then Rostraver (FMQ) would
have cheaper gas and would be maybe 15-20 minutes longer to drive. It is a
small and well-maintained uncontrolled airport in the Pittsburgh countryside
but only about a 45-minute drive to downtown.
