I misspoke. I don't find the location humorous on its own. I find the
location of such testing humorous.

The name incidentally comes from a 1940’s game show on the
radio. The person hosting the show, Ralph Edwards, put out an appeal
to ask if any small town in America would be prepared to change its
name to that of the game show. The town of Riverbend accepted and
every year since Ralph Edwards has visited the town to celebrate the
name change, and for the town to have a weekend long party.

O.k., I don't usually like to spell humor out like this but I feel like
this has drifted out of sight. (And it could easily be that I'm just
being poked but I'll bite anyway.)

I find it humorous that Truth or Consequences is the site of testing that
involves making aviation GPS receivers give false readings because we know
that reliance on those readings can have grave consequences.

Get it? Anyone? No? My bad...

I guess we've been kind of dense on this one. I've got it now. ;)
