With more than 1,000 members of world-wide origins, the Vintage Glider
Club, founded 1973 by Chris Wills in England (see: http://www.vintagegliderclub.org/
), is one of the largest gliding clubs world-wide, with the aim of
'keeping history alive'. Annual highlight of its activities is the
International VGC Rally, each time held in another European country,
organized by local members. This year it was at Tibenham airfield near
Norwich in Norfolk/England, a former WW2 US airbase, now run by the
very active Norfolk Gliding Club - a place worth visiting. A nice
