I have taken a brief look at the information concerning the PowerFlarm
and I still seem unable to find out how you make a flight declaration.
The 'brick' version will have a remote USB port that reads a memory
stick but will there be a way to enter a task using a PDA for example?
Will you be able to upload turn points?
I know igc approval has not yet been granted so maybe I am getting
ahead of myself.

What PDA/PNA and/or PC software do you use now? You need to look there
to see what it can do for a Flarm device.

The Flarm dataport interface (that PowerFLARM will support) includes
the capability to do all this. How well it is supported depends on
your software. Some software will upload tasks and waypoints to the
Flarm devices using that interface. Other software support writing to
the SD card (or USB stick in this case) and some software will do
both.

A PDA is obviously going to have a problem if the workflow you need
for your particular software on it is to write to an USB stick and the
PDA (as most won't) does not have a USB (master) port. Hopefully that
device supports a wired declaration upload. Or another fallback there
is desktop/laptop PC software like SeeYou which can declare to the
device or a USB stick.

Same as other FLARM devices. ILEC SN10, PDA SW, etc can
send declaration to the FLARM over the NMEA link. Alternatively
you can put the declaration on the uSD card (there will be USB
equivalent for brick).

Hope that helps,
