You may have a look at the italian Coppa del Mediterraneo, held every
year during August in Rieti, italy (see Soaringspot.com). There's at
least a couple of 808s, some of them are flown to good results.

Most of the competitive pilots who have chosen different gliders, told
me that thay don't like the parallelogram stick. Others declare that
the 800series dosn't have a "feel" for thermals and airmass movements
equal to the V2s and ASHs. BTW, they generally prefer lighter "turbo"
or pure variants.

Personally, I have tested the LS-10 and I really loved it. I would
consider this sailplane when choosing a competitive 18m ship.
