Can anyone id the aircraft and provide some info about it? It was
emailed to me ages ago, and I don't think I have the email anymore. So
I have no other info (other than the photo) to go on. TIA.

Cheers managed to ID the aircraft shortly after posting using
airliners.net - so I deleted the image on the site.

The Cri Cri is the cover story for this month's AOPA Pilot.

"Big fun in a small package"

It might be difficult to find a place to put an instructor...

No need for a twin rating (at least in France), but a single seat
endorsement.
The story is that the original Cricri had lawnmowers engines.
There also are jet
(http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/planes/cricri/cricri-jet.jpg)
and electric
(www.dailymotion.com/video/xeojvp_cricri-electrique-demonstration-en_news)
prototypes.

There is a Cri-Cri out there with a double pod of model gas turbine engines
on each side. Pretty cool, and pretty fast and aerobatic, too.

I keep forgetting that you can get a multiengine rating without a complex
endorsement...
