Hi All
Flarm v5 was due to be released in "early" February, and earlier
versions should start reporting an error if used after beginning of
March.
As yet there's no version 5 available on the "updates" page of the
Flarm website.
Anyone know when v5 *will* be available?

The last item in 5.xx revison history published at that site is:
" 4.90 2010/12/31
----------------
Public BETA, partial pre-release of v5.00 for FLARM classic units
(incl. IGC and ENL versions),
not yet for compatible designs.
Please send feedback and IGC logfiles to
The beta 4.90 is fully compatible with all other FLARM units.
It is operational till end of Febuary 2011 and must be replaced with
release 5.00 then."
However the user agreement associated with the download ends with "©
2011 Flarm Technology • Disclaimer • 22.02.2011 " which is today's
date.
Maybe the new firmware is actually available for download but the
revision history has not been updated yet?

Yes, that's where I copied my quote from. But look at the 5.xx revison
history which is the source of the other quote.
