As a new owner of a Std Cirrus # 80 I heard today that they have a
very turbulent wing. Any thoughts on this and how to remedy the
problem.
Thank you

Start by ignoring whatever it is you have heard. Std Cirrus is a very
good glider for the time it was built and is still one of the most
desirable in the Club class.
Learn to fly it well and enjoy it, then worry about glider
performance.
Good luckl and have fun

What UH said, plus...
If you must listen to others, start with published documents like the
DJ flight test report. You will find, among other things, that the
Cirrus has a bug resistant wing, with little performance degradation
compared to other ships of the period.
Enjoy your ship!

Really? Well that would explain why Sinha & co. chose the Std.
Cirrus.. are you referring to this by any chance?

From what I've heard the Cirrus is a nice flying glider.

/Thread dirft/ Why is evreyone not using the Sinha technology, on
Cirrus and other gliders, if it is that effective?
