Sean,
True airspeed sentences in the NMEA stream are required to get the
direct winds with SeeYou.
These additional sentences can be from several instruments, CAI
302, Borgelt B500, LX Navigation LX 5000, 7000, 7007, LX 1606 with a
GPS input from almost any GPS source.
My system for the summer will inculde PowerFlarm or NANO to LX1606 to
the Craggy Aero Ultimate Le running SeeYou PNA.

Airspeed, Temp, Pressure Altitude, etc are contain in the NMEA record of most smart varios. (Cambridge, Borgelt B50/500, etc.) Both the vario and GPS records are process by SeeYou Mobile, XCSoar, LK8000, etc.
