Why wouldn't you use flaps? I see
people do that.

Windy conditions.
Practice.

(There are a few planes that don't have flaps.)

It depends on crosswinds. Flaps aggravate weathervaning tendencies, so
reducing or eliminating flaps may enable a smoother, safer landing than
possible with flaps.

Thanks Jim and Orval. I was at the hold line a
few days ago awaiting an incoming flight. His
downwind leg wasn't parallel to the runway, then I'm
thinking he might be either going around or heading
to the other runway. Last minute he whips it down in
a tight spiral passing by...no flaps, landing without
incident. Seemed strange to me.

To answer my own question... <grin>, now
I realize that a lot of airports, especially anything
in Class B airspace is going to bring me into a
pattern around 3000ft and make me descend
no slower than 130mph, otherwise, go around.
Ya gotta "get out of the way" when mixing it up
with jets.

We were kept outside of the anti-war movement and on the fringe of the
civil rights movement. When human rights were the big thing, they
never mentioned Indians. Now with the advent of the environmental and
anti-nuke movements, most people would still prefer to ignore us.

Indians just don't fit in anywhere...sorta like the MarkTroll.

What other people do has no effect on me.

I understand your confusion. See, you aren't
aware that a Troll hacked into my google account
and pretended to be me for over a year, spamming
usenet in my name. While he tried to run me off,
he failed. He got tossed from his ISP at least once
for this. You notice that Mark, Blueriverday@yahoo
has not wavered.

At this time I talk about aviation in this forum, and
you my friend, well, are being a Troll. If that makes
you happy fine. Like I said, what other people do has
no effect on me.

Speaking of Class B airspace, why don't you
attempt to show a little. Class.
