View Full Version : Murphy Rebel on trigear?

I wonder since the Elite is an upgrade of Rebel, can Rebel use Elite's
trigear kit? The factory's reply is NO because Elite's floor and
forward fuselage are redesigned to accept the nose wheel.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this? Elite's kit price is MUCH more
expensive than Rebel's so I doubt could this be a reason to discourage
people to convert Rebel to trigear?
Many thanks.

The Rebel and the Elite are different enough that I doubt you could
make the nosegear work on a rebel without a lot of engineering. Of
course you could mount it on amphibious floats and have 2
nosewheels.:) and log retract time as well. There's a rebel builders
list located at
You can search the archives there for a description of all the
differences between a rebel and elite
