The 32nd World Gliding Championship (July 28-August 19, 2012, Uvalde,
Texas) Web site is now live.
The Web addresses for the site are www.wgc2012uvalde.com and www.wgc2012uvalde.us
The site was released April 20. It was developed after a detailed
review of prior WGC websites. The features and functions present in
the design reflect the most successful European WGC websites of the
last several years. The results are on par with these sites, developed
for a fraction of the cost.
There are several people who have been critical in the development of
this resource. Ryan Wallace of E-Street Communication went above and
beyond in developing the structure for the site. John Seaborn
developed and managed the site's content and directed site structuring
with E-Street. Bob DeLeon created the graphics for the site and the
WGC branding look. Doug Easton secured the web address early on. With
release, Andrew Dignan will take over site management as Webmaster.
Andrew is sure to take the WGC website to a new level and will need
the continuing support of the U.S. soaring community.
In the end the USA WGC Web site will be the face of the 2012
championships. The U.S. and international soaring communities will be
logging on frequently. The organizing committee wants to make everyone
aware that sponsorship and promotion opportunities are available for
this major aviation event. For more information on sponsorship
involvement, contact Kerry Huffstutler in Uvalde
