Can anyone tell me who works on Becker radios in western US? Mine is
in the process of crapping out.

Becker USA has repair capabilities based on the East Coast. Contact
them and ship to them. Just make sure its the radio and not the wire
(esp. corrosion or loose connection), battery voltage, speaker etc.

What exactly is the problem with it? We thought our Grob's was
crapping out but just turned out to be a faulty PTT switch on the
stick.

YEs do check out all other possibilities first, I thought mine was not
working and it turned out to be the Mike was bad. DO NOT SEND TO
Aircraft Spruce, they just forward to FL where the US repair station
is and it takes an extra 3-5 weeks of time to sort out where it is!
Check ALL wiring and connections first, these radios are solid as
bricks and seldom fail in any way, a good electronics or avionics tech
is well worth the cost on troubleshooting.

Just my experience in maintaining several friends radios.
