It's Sunday practice day race fans with the Region 5 starting tomorrow
and the Standard Nationals starting on Tuesday.
Where the h.ll is TA. He's suppose to be here writing these reports!!?
Hopefully we will see him tomorrow , in the mean time....
again HOT with the lift being good but a little harder to nail on the
first turn. I can report that I saw over 10kts. on the averager for a
few turns and kiss a few wisps above 7500'.
Great lift to the North side of Cordele with it going blue and weak
down south where the CD kept us away from. A bit hazy/smoggy from the
scattered wildfires today, no rain but looked threatening a few
places.
I promise to post a picture of Camp Wilat and plan to do so tomorrow.
The Mid-Georgia Soaring Association is doing a fantastic job. Tonight
was a free welcome dinner courtesy of the Best Western/Ramada Motel
group followed by the mandatory meeting. Ray Galloway,CD, entertained
us with his wit and stories. Speaking of which he has advise the pilot
group that Assigned Task will be on his mind when considering the
possibilities and with the wx. outlook as it is.....I think he's got
it right.
I would also like to report that Fernando Silva (FS) is back in the
race after beating C. He's looking great as all Fernando's do and he
had a great return-to-racing flight today as an opener. HUUUUAAHHHH!!!
