Word is the threat level's going to orange. Expect more airspace

Yeah, and the word is suicide bombers on the loose. With that in mind, it is
generally safer when your up in the air.

But part of the chatter is that they're still interested in using
airplanes as weapons.

Non-specific threats and chatter, specifically related to airplanes...

I have to think that at this point most of the chatter is disinformation.
It certainly was on September 11, 2001 when, in response to the chatter,
US forces IN ASIA were warned of a possible attack due to the increased
chatter.
If there is an attack, likely it will be something that is NOT indicated
in cupfthe chatter.

Did it ever occur to anyone that Bin Laden would run out of both volunteers
and aircraft long before he could inflict any real damage to the U.S.? C'mon
you have the strongest nation on the earth, with the most wealth, and one of
the highest standards of living. Those rag-heads are completely incapable of
hurting your country. Yeah I know about the approx 2500 dead at the WTC and
I don't mean to make light of it but if it happened every week it would
still not bring the country to it's knees, you lose more than that on the
highways and to tobacco.
Your country is way stronger than this.

Yes, but if everyone believed this, then how could Ridge, et.al. make
such power grabs as throwing people in a dudgeon without even a mock trial?
We americans like being cuddled by out paternalistic government as we
suckle on our communal tit. With the Democraps help, Bush will protect
us all, and shield us from anyone who would challenge Cheney's big oil
deals.
