Reminds me of McDD and the ever-stretching DC-9. Think the last
version didn't even need wings; you just lined it up between two
cities and let folks ride the moving sidewalk down the middle.

Ah! The fuel economy leader model! LOL!

That is too funny...and agreed! The DC-9 did get somewhat overstretched as
well. Still, it was a very nice aircraft. Of the different variants, I
think I liked the 30 series best before they went to the MD-80, etc...
