PHOTOS: PHL - January 21, 2011
Fairly good day at PHL, some may call it great if they aren't there on
a regular basis. Highlights were the World Atlantic 'FINALLY'
departing, and N801DM. Also there were three special Southwest
liveries. Triple Crown, California One and New Mexico One (no photo
though).
World Atlantic was a pain in the butt though. I missed two biz jets
because of it. I seen the doors close (about an hour late) and it
started what I thought was a taxi. Nope. It pulled up a bit and began
a one hour and 10 minute deicing procedure. First time I've seen that
being done at Atlantic Av. (I'm sure it's been done before). So I'm
waiting at the departure end, not knowing, until I decided to venture
back to see what was the delay. So it finally departed about 4:20pm
and rotated fast. So it's not the angle I like, but it still works.
