I need to make a tail dolly for the HP-24, am looking for a place to
get a castering wheel like I see on the factory made tail dolly's.
Anyone have some ideas?

thanks,
Brad

Northwest Caster and Equipment.
On Aurora Ave. north of the Aurora bridge in Seattle.
Don't say its for aircraft or ground support equipment. You may get
some hesitation.
I got a caster with a pnuematic wheel there. Tire was chinese, and
its 15 yrs old now.
Good for the cracks in the ramp at EPH. Never had a leak.

McMaster Carr is good. E-bay and Amazon are also a sources and
sometimes less expensive.

While designing your hangar dolly, take a look at the clever jackable
fuselage trailer dollies used on fixed gear 2-seaters. Replacing the
trailer dolly's straight-rolling wheels with casters would make a very
easy to use hangar dolly since you wouldn't have to push the glider up
onto a freely castering dolly.

I'd go with either the 8" or 10" pneumatic casters, myself:

Some pics I took of the one that came with our DG1000 trailer.

thanks for all the suggestions and link guys...............much
appreciated. ended up with a Harbor Fraud unit, 6" semi-solid tire,
under $20.00. also ordered a bunch of stuff from M&C for the wing
wheel dolly, the nose capture bowl and the control system circuit.
