View Full Version : A Very Latin Christmas to you all...

Richard Riley
December 26th 03, 11:00 PM
In memory of Tony...

Rudolpho cervo erat
Nasum ruber lucensque;
Quicumque hunc videret
Hunc diceret candere.

Alii cervi omnes
Semper hunc deriserant;
Cum misero Rudolpho
In ludis non luserant.

Sanctus Nicholas dixit
Sub festum nubilum:
"Naso claro, Rudolphe,
Hodie carrum ducesne?"

Tum cervi clamaverunt,
"Omnibus dilectus es!
Rudolphe rubri nasi,
In historiam descendes!"

It's a fairly literal translation of the American Christmas tune "Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer"
with a little poetic license.

It's been two years since Tony's untimely death, but every time I read
this newsgroup I miss him.

You were special Tony, and your friends will always remember you.
Godspeed.
