It's probably a good thing they didn't base the competition at Ely in
July, or it would have become a soaring contest.

I found this interesting, "Only three of the 14 entrants made it into
the air..."

Any idea what happend to the other 11 gliders...er...aircraft?

They didn't finish their development efforts in time.
