View Full Version : The Title of Liberty

<from an ancient manuscript -- with apologies>

And it came to pass that Osama was exceedingly wroth with the people of
liberty, and sought to establish a king over them.

And when Boyer had heard of these attacks, and of the trodding under of
liberty by the chief judges who were appointed to defend the liberties of
the people, he was angry.

And it came to pass that he took his flag, and wrote upon it -- In memory of
our freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children -- and he fastened
it upon a tow line.

And he fastened on his helmet and his leather jacket and his silk scarf, and
his shoulder harness, and girded his seat belt about his loins, and he took
the active runway with his Waco, which had on the tow line thereof his flag,
(and he called it the title of liberty), and after praying for the souls of
those who had died in defense of liberty,

He took to the air, and flew over the city, and over all the people, that
all might see the writing which he had written upon the flag, and crying
with a loud voice, saying:

Behold, whosoever will maintain this title upon the land, let them come
forth, and enter into a covenant that they will maintain their rights.

And it came to pass that when Boyer had proclaimed these words, behold, the
people came running together, taking up their flags in token that they would
not forsake their freedoms.

And they threw down those judges who would not defend their freedoms, and
cast out all the lesser judges who would not take up the title of liberty.

Yea, and even these lesser judges the people would not elect as catchers of
dogs.

And they pursued Osama from the morning into the night, yea, even for many
days, and all who covenanted with him, even Saddam, and Baath, and the
priests of Hate.

And they captured Osama and his priests, and tried them according to their
laws, and they did put Osama and his allies to death.

And the people rejoiced, because peace was restored in the land.

You know, I still like Moroni's original version better, but this isn't bad.

That same ancient text talks about mayor Daley and other corrupt people.

They sell themselves for naught; for, for the reward of their pride and their
foolishness they shall reap destruction; for because they yield unto the devil
and choose "works of darkness" rather than light, therefore they must go down
to hell.
