'Tis the final day of the 2011 South African National Gliding
Championships - the Club Class, having had 10 contest days, have
been stood down, however the Open/18 Metre Class [aka the JS1
Class] do final battle over a short course. See:

for more!
The question is ... which JS1 will win? The local lad [World
Champion Oscar Goudriaan] is hanging on but he can be caught
today!!
[Ron, what do you think of this then?]

Sounds like a "Contest to remember " - 10 days in a row of competition
- that's not a regular happening at many contests .
If I understand correctly the JS-1's finished in the top ten positions
in their class - they may be closely followed ( pun intended ) at the
upcoming "World's" in Uvalde in 2012 .
Thankfully the shortest day of the year is now behind us here in the
north - here's to the 2012 soaring season. Thanks for the great
reporting .
Ron.

Closest contest? 1 point separating first and second after 10 days of
flying? Difference of 0.01%.
