I'm looking for a new headset of higher quality (not the cheap ones, nor the
most expensive ones), with passive noise reduction (for GA aircraft). Can
anybody give me a recommendation and his/hers experiences with this headset?
Thanks

DeltaDeltaDelta,

Hmm. If you look for a "new headset of higher quality", it should
probably be active. But anyway: A very good passive is the Lightspeed
QFR Solo or Supersolo, for about 135 and 190 $ respectively. The latter
is probably for comfortable to wear. The active variant of the headset
starts at 275 or so.

IMHO, you should spring for an active 20XL2, which is 380 or so.
Excellent value, very comfortable, and the active reduction makes one
hell of a difference.

Try before you buy!

I have a Sigtronics S-40 and a Peltor 7004. I got them both on EBay at
reasonable prices. The Sigtronics is now my "passenger headset" - I REALLY
like the Peltor. The sigtronics isn't bad either. But the Peltor is
compact, comfy, quiet, and responsive. I like it alot.

HTH.
