Cumberland County is just north of there. There is an excellent restaurant at
the north end of the field. Great all-you-can-eat brunch on Sundays.

death doesn't get worse every time Congress goes into session.

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Columbia County, as in 1B1?

I fly almost exclusively out of HFD. Great airport, plenty of
parking/fuel, decent restaurant at the north terminal. As you probably
already know it is a large airport, 4500ft or so and controlled.
Windham is a bit smaller, uncontrolled, and as far as I know there
isnt any food, but gas shouldnt be a problem there. If youre willing
to walk, about a quarter mile from the airport is a large strip mall,
fast food, TGI Fridays, Walmart etc. Ive flown into POU but never
really stopped to look around; good airport though, controllers there
are great. If youre willing to go a little farther east and south,
Block Island is a bit of a challenge, great place for lunch right
there though! Last but not least, west of HFD there is an airport (I
dont have a sectional so I dotn know the identifier) called Mountain
Meadow (aka Jonnycake), small, narrow runway, but not bad. Incredible
restaurant right on the grounds, called Landing Zone, best damn chili
ive ever had! Highly recommend. Should have fuel but check the AFD.

Thanks! IPT is a likely destination, should I take that route, as I should
have adequate fuel on board by the time I get there.

Thanks!

HFD is a bit of a stretch. If the winds are good, I can make it, so I
appreciate your feedback. I prefer an on-field restaurant, as this is just
a fuel & feed stop hopefully consuming less than 1 1/2 hours of the xc
before continuing on East.
