View Full Version : NE fall foliage report

In my area we lost a lot of color last week when tropical storm Mindy
went whipping through with heavy rain and gusts of up to 50 mph. (I
hope they had the Cubs hangared!) Since then, though, some of the
green leaves have turned, so it's almost back to ideal. I drove up
through CT and MA yesterday, and the color seems to be shaping up
nicely in the eastern parts of those states.

This is the report I got on my WX email this morning:

FALL FOLIAGE FORECAST: Vermont reports past-peak conditions across
the
state, except for the eastern and western slices portions; NH will
have peak
conditions state wide except for near-peak in the SE, with past-peak
occurring over the northernmost areas; and Maine reports peak
conditions in
the SE half of the state, with past-peak across the NW half.

Check the details at <http://www.foliage-vermont.com/>,
<http://www.visitnh.gov/nhfoliage.html#> and
<http://www.state.me.us/doc/foliage/> for Vermont, New Hampshire and
Maine,
respectively.
