I believe designated F-8 in USAAF service.

Yup!
....and with a P-38/F-4A/F-5 sitting behind it, I suspect that was a
USAAF reconnaissance squadron of the 7th Photo Group.
Initially there were 40 F-8's converted for photo-reconnaissance from
Canadian built B Mk IV's, designated B MkXX thereby becoming the
equivalent of the PR Mk IX. Then additional orders had about 100 PB Mk
XVI, these were designated F-8B, and some 20 T Mk III's delivered.
The USAAF also had 6 B Mk V's which were converted with the addition of
H2X targeting radar as special purpose mission specific AC.
Then there were several other specialized USAAF modifications made to
some later variants to serve as weather reconnaissance AC with 8th AF
bomber squadrons. Additionally there was a squadron of NF Mk XXX's used
in the Italian campaign.
